There are as many ways of writing a novel as they are authors in the literary world. There is not a right or a wrong way about composing a story, but what suits the individual to get through the process until a completed draft is there for review.

Original Gastown

Gastown Origins

Gastown began in the summer of 2017, in Vancouver, Canada. I was on a family trip with my wife and two kids, and we explored the downtown district, famous for the independent art galleries, eateries, the Victorian buildings, and of course, the whistling steam clock. Standing around with all of the other tourists, I waited in anticipation for the steam clock to play a tune as the hour struck. I also learnt there were a series of steam pipes running beneath the streets to keep the downtown area toasty. This sparked my imagination.
