Author's Note for Lilith

Lilith is a psychopath. She has blunted emotions, whether it be guilt, remorse, empathy, or fear. Her life is a quest to just feel something. She is strong, capable, cunning, and a killer since childhood. Her only real attachment is to her mother, Beira, who covers for her daughter’s many transgressions. However, there is a degree of resentment too.
Lilith calms her troubled mind by bathing in the blood of innocent young girls. The inspiration here comes from the legend of Elizabeth Báthory, the Blood Countess, and alleged mass murderer. As a serial killer, I drew on the canonical five murders of Jack the Ripper in Victorian England. Lilith’s mismatched eyes come from David Bowie.
