Longbeard

Longbeard bounced up and down in the saddle with every stride. He was too stiff for the Kuruk wooden saddle, and could not relax into the pony’s natural rhythm no matter how hard he tried. However, he never complained, and Jargal still blessed the solar he came into his service after being cast out by the Sul for his need to call out injustice. His old Sul name was long forgotten, and the simple appellation of Longbeard suited him well. The man was honest, almost a crime itself for a Sul courtier, and Jargal trusted him implicitly.
